Starting at Sandhills nursery
We have three intakes to our nursery during the year; September, January and April and your child is eligible to join our nursery the term after they turn 3.
Children born 1 April – 31 August: earliest entitlement starts September
Children born 1 September – 31 December: earliest entitlement starts January
Children born 1 January – 31 March: earliest entitlement starts April
Children will be offered a place if there is a space available, or will be placed on our waiting list if not.
If there are places available at other times, children who are eligible (the term after their third birthday) may be able to join mid-term.

Funding
All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of funded early education per week. Some families may qualify for an additional 15 hours, bringing the total to 30 hours per week. Funding becomes available starting the term immediately following your child’s third birthday.
Parents/carers can check their entitlement to funding via the online Eligibility Checker at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. If eligible, an 11-digit code/reference number will be generated.
Sessions
The nursery is open every morning from 8:45am - 11:45am for children who are entitled to 15 hours of funded education per week. There is also an option for children to stay all day until 3pm as we are able to offer 30 hours provision.
